Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps  which commonly known as (NSCDC) is a paramilitry institution in Nigeria which was created in May 1967 by the Nigerian government with the national assembly constitutional section act, which the act was amended in 2007, in other to increase the statutory duties of the corps .The  NSCDC which is Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps is a agency of government paramilitary for the federal government of Nigeria which was commissioned in other to provide measures against criminal act and any form of attack or disaster against across the nation. The corps was lawfull by lay Act No. 2 of 2003 and amended by constitutional Act 6 of 4 June 2007.

The Nigerian Security and civil defence Corps is authorized to introduce legal proceedings of the Attorney General of the Federation  with base of the giving of the constitution through the Federal Republic of Nigeria against any victims persons who are  suspected to have committed an offence, the corps are to maintain an armed squad of the security in order to bear fire arms among others in order to make sure strengthen the corps in the discharge of its method of  duties.
