History/About ABU ZARIA UNIVERSITY.

The Ahmadu bello university zaria which is commonly known as ABU Zaria universisity, is a federal government research university which is currently located at zaria kaduna state in nigeria which was designed in octorba 1962 which serve as nothern university of nigeria the university which was held with two campuses: Samaru (main) and Kongo in Zaria. And There is pre-degree school in Funtua which is located at a few kilometres from main campus which was own by the university. 

The campus of samaru which held the administrative offices and social sciences, arts and languages, the faculties of physical sciences, life sciences, education, environmental design, engineering, agricultural sciences, medical science and research facilities. The Kongo campus hosts the faculties of Law and Administration. While the Faculty of Administration which has the following departments of Accounting, Business Administration, Local Government and Development Studies and Public Administration Departments. In addition to the ABU Zaria ahmedu bello university which held as the responsible for other institutions and programmes at other locations across the nation.

The university performs a full aspect of undergraduate and graduate programmes and also offers associate degrees and vocational and remedial programmes. Responsibility and Duty University Librarian

The Job responsibility and duty of university librarian he/she will serve as Principal officer of the University of ABU which his duty will be attached to the Vice Chancellor for the overall administration of the university Library, its branches and extension and also for providing library services for the entire Ahmadu Bello university community.

Job Qualifications Requirement and Experience.

• Interested Applicant for this librarian position must possess a good Honours Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized University,.
• Interested Applicant must also have  a higher Degree (preferably PhD) including 15 (fifteen) years relevant experience, preferably in a University or other institutions of higher learning institute.
• Interested Applicant must be  professionally qualified and be practicing librarians which 
• Have contributed alot of knowledge via research and publications in reputable journals, and also possess good records of sound administrative leadership.
• Interetsed Applicant must have good computer literate and good experience  in computer applications.
• Interested Applicqnt must be Be registered part of the member of the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).

2.Registrar

Responsibility and Duty For Registrar Position

• The Responsibility for Registrar position will be served as a principal Officer of the University responsible to the ABU University Governing Council via the Vice Chancellor for following duties as Chief Administrative Officer.
• The responsibility of the registrar will be on duty of keeping in a safe custody all records of the ABU University.
• Also will be responsible of arrangement for the conduct of examinations.
• Registrar will be serving as Secretary to and wil be responsible for executive action arising from making decisions of the Governing Council.

Qualification Requirements and Duty.

• Interested Applicant must have a good honours first Degree in the Liberal, or related field.
• Intereated Applicant must have relevant postgraduate degree / diploma and registration with and also having a professional bodies would be an added advantage.
• Interested Applicant are requred to have served for at least fifteen years (15) in Senior Administrative capacities in the University system or in other relevant organisation as required.

3.Bursar

Responsibility and Duty for the Bursar Position

• The Responsibility of bursar In that ABU university will advise on the financials budgeting, policies and disbursement of funds. 
• The Bursar will be responsible for the preparation of presentation of Every year (Annual) Estimates, Planning, Control and periodic evaluation of University accounting and treasury services, with investment funds, including preparation and manually updating of Financial Procedures, etc.
• The Bursar is also responsible to carry our other duties as may be assigned from time to lime.

Qualifications Requirements and Experience.

• Interested Applicant Must have obtained good honours Degree in Accounting or other professional qualifications (i,e ACCA, ACA, ICAN, ANAN, etc.) 
• Intereated Applicant must have at least 15 years post qualification cognate experience working which should include not less than five years at the managerial level.
