Job Main Responsibilities
Base on the guidance of the Sexual Reproductive Health Supervisor, the Midwife will have the following primary responsibilities to uphold the quality of care provided in the mobile clinics:
- Delivering cost-free reproductive health consultations
- Conducting health education sessions
- Gathering, organizing, and analyzing weekly epidemiological data
- Reporting and participating in various meetings.
Job Tasks Description
Providing cost-free reproductive health consultations involves:
- Preparing all materials and equipment before starting activities.
- Following basic medical hygiene rules during consultations.
- Actively participating in triage activities before starting reproductive health consultations.
- Conducting antenatal consultations based on protocols, identifying and noting all risk factors.
- Conducting postnatal consultations within six weeks of delivery, providing appropriate treatment, and referring to a female medical doctor when necessary.
- Conducting family planning consultations and counseling according to protocol.
- Administering systematic prophylactic treatments to pregnant women.
- Referring all pregnant women with pregnancy-related pathologies to a female medical doctor.
- Verifying the tetanus vaccination status of each pregnant woman.
- Providing detailed explanations of treatments to patients.
- Managing reproductive health emergency cases with the assistance of a medical doctor following MdM protocols and regulations.
- Completing a reproductive health form for each patient.
- Ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained and treating all patients with respect and dignity
Responsibility on Implementation of health education sessions:
- Give health education sessions to the patients in the different waiting areas
- Spread main messages about health education for the following topics: immunization, antenatal care, post-natal care, assisted delivery, family planning, at-risk pregnancies, breastfeeding and weaning
Responsibility on Collection, computerization and analysis of weekly epidemiological data:
- The job responsibility is to Perform the daily data collection regarding reproductive health consultations
- The job responsibility is to Participate to the weekly computerization and analysis of the reproductive health data
Reporting and attendance to different meetings:
- the responsibility is to Prepare a weekly activities report for submission to the team leader.
- the responsibility is to Actively participate in MdM internal meetings (medical, security, etc.).
- the responsibility is to Attend all trainings organized by MDM.
Others Responsibility For This Position
- Offer recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of MDM mobile clinics.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and setting up mobile clinics.
- Participate in weekly physical inventory of mobile clinic pharmacy.
- Be adaptable in fulfilling responsibilities to ensure beneficiaries receive high-quality services.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed by the team leader.
- Promptly notify the security focal point of any field security issues.
Job Qualification Requirements
Interested Applicant must possess a B.Sc Degree or Diploma in Midwifery or Nursing, with a minimum of 2 years of work experience.
